It can be difficult to determine when changes need to be made. Day-to-day concerns are often paramount and focusing on the future can feel like a luxury. However, spending time on improvements can have dramatic, long-term effects on the effectiveness and efficiency of the program. Improvements can also make daily operations easier. When there are examples of problems, such as large amounts of missing data, higher than normal turnover, or overwhelmed CHWs, it could be a good time to change. Additionally, proactive changecan increase the reach of the program and/or create new funding opportunities.
We just learned something. Let’s change it. We changed it. Let’s change it again. That didn’t work. Let’s do it differently and let’s continue modifying. So I think it’s not really what we’re doing or how it’s going to look like immediately […] Like, is there a different way to do it? Is that currently giving us the outcomes that we need?
